February Favourites

Today marks the end of another month. February’s cold is leaving us to make way for a little bit of Spring in March.

This month in The house of Lotz has been full of birthdays, so this months favourites are all rather luxurious….every girl needs a bit of indulgence…right?

The Kitchen:

As a wonderful gift, The Boy gave me the Deliciously Ella book. I can honestly say I have never read anything like this before. I have totally fallen in love with Ella and her cooking style so much so I all over her Social Media and Blog. She shows the core values I love about cooking: You can make everything your self and all food can taste amazing!

I am currently trying to get the hang of making my own nut milk, and nut cheese. As soon as I’ve got it down to an art, I will be playing with my own variations, so watch this space!!

The Bedroom:

This month, its all about skin! Sorry to disappoint again, but still nothing naught…..I’m talking about keeping hydrated after one too many glasses of Birthday Champagne and Cocktails. I have recently invested in a serum. This one is from Caudalie and is exactly what I am looking for. Light weight, sinks in to the skin in seconds, and doesn’t feel greasy. You can use this little guy by himself, or layer under your current moisturise for an added boost.

The Bathroom:

When I think Bathroom, I think Bathtub!! The perfect place for a bit of me time. This month I have been trying to get in the habit of taking a long bath once a week to help me relax. Relaxation is all about scent for me. I love a well scented bath product! This one fit the bill perfectly – The Laura Mercer Honey Touch Bubble Bath. Its a luxurious product (with a luxurious price), but it lasts for ages! All you need is one or two blobs in the tub and the scent fills the room. For an added bit of relaxation, I throw in a hand full of epsom salts to relax my muscles. Bliss!

The Lounge:

As I said before, The House of Lotz Lounge also doubles up as The House of Lotz Retreat and Spa, and this month is no exception. I have been indulging in a beautiful birthday gift from one of my Best Girlfriends. This beautiful Personalised Nail Polish from NailsInc has not left my nails for more than a few hours since my birthday. The colour is perfect for any time of year, and as I’m super pale, it warms my skin tone enough so my hands don’t look like ghosts any more!! Thank You Sooooo much D, love you loads xXx

The Portable House of Lotz (aka, my handbag):

This month I have been loving dark lipsticks. As we have been celebrating Birthdays, and going out for dinners, I have been opting for a matt finish to reduce the amount of reapplications. However, matt lipsticks lead to dry lips. My saviour during this over indulgent period has been the Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm. Its slightly exfoliating and very thick, so it really nourishes and hydrates when I need it.
