April Favourites

I know, I know…this may seem a little early, but as I post weekly this week made the most sense for favourites.

As you know, I have spent a lot of this month on my travels. Although these trips where amazing, it is wonderful to be home with all the things that I take for granted. My favourites this month reflect that……

The Kitchen:

I am not sure if I have mentioned this before, but I am on a little bit of a food and body journey at the moment, so I am looking for yummy foods that fit in with that. Since starting this journey, I have discovered that my hatred of Banana’s is misdirected. When they are cold they are, to me, awful! I really can not bear them, however, I have found that they are a different story when they are made hot.

My new sweet treat of choice is Baked Banana’s cooked with Almond Butter. I will do a full food journey post soon, but the method of making this is pretty self explanatory. I try to have this yummy treat once a week, just a nice pick me up at the end of the week.

The Bedroom:

Random back story alert: last year I was in a car accident. Nothing too serious, but since then I have been having a rough time with my neck, back and shoulders. They have been so stiff in the mornings that I have had to spend the first few minutes of my day working the knots out. Well…..not any more!! For all of you out there who suffer with neck, back and shoulder pain, I encourage you to get this amazing pillow.

As it is half memory foam half microfibre, you get the best of both worlds. Beautifully supportive from the foam, but super comfy and soft from the microfibre. My neck has been a lot better now I have got use to sleeping in a new way. Even my physio has commented on how much softer my muscles are.

The Bathroom:

This month I thought I would branch out and try a new shower gel. After being away in the sunshine, surrounded by air-conditioning, my skin has been so dry. As I was ambling through the isles of Boots, I came across the ‘Yes To Blueberry’ body wash.

Now, I don’t really think it smells like blueberry, but, Its beautiful fresh clean scent was just what I fancied for spring with the added bonus of having smooth soft skin.

The Living Room aka The House of Lotz Retreat and Spa:

After having an awful shellac manicure that has left my hands and nails in a state, I have been trying to get them back to normal. I have released my full arsenal of products on them, including an old favourite the Rituals Miracle Balm.

This hand balm is so thick, fragrant, and nourishing that it feels like an expensive spa treatment in your home. All you need is a pea sized amount for both hands. I apply this just before curling up on the sofa with The Boy for the night, or going to bed to help me relax. The soothing fragrance is the perfect thing to complement your relaxation time.

The Portable House of Lotz aka The Handbag:

I’m sure the whole of the UK is shocked at this, but, we have had some sunshine!! Along with the rest of the country, I have been spending as much time outside as I can, in the great fear that the sun will never return. To protect my lis from getting burned, I have been using the Bliztex Raspberry Lemonade Blast with SPF15.

This little tube is in most supermarkets, Boots and Superdrug, and is very affordable. The product itself is very nourishing, light and glossy which is prefect for day to day use. All of this is a handy bonus once you have smelt this amazing lip balm. Its like summer in a stick, and I really cant get enough.

Well, enough from me, what have you all been loving this month?

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend, and I can’t wait until next week xXx see you soon xXx
