Welcome Back to The House of Lotz

To all my Wonderful Guests,

How are you all? I hope you are all well and that you have enjoyed your Summer!!

Long-time no see hu??

It feels so strange to be sat writing this after such a long time away, so forgive me for being a bit rusty…..so……let’s get started and see how it goes;

What’s been going on?

In a nut shell…..My Mama (step mum) being very ill and passed away. For those of you not in the know, she contracted Hepatitis C after a blood transfusion she needed for her Spherocytosis in the 80’s. This is called Contaminated Blood. You may have seen in the news that there is an ongoing public battle to help everyone who has been affected, and their loved ones. It is hard for me to explain, so I encourage you all to click here and look at the CBC page. This goes into detail of the struggle that has been going on.

I do not want to go into much more detail as I am about to burst into tears, but please know that my Mama was the most amazing women in the world. She touched so many lives and made every single one a million times better just by being there.

My Mama was the light of my Dadums life. The where truly my OTP…and the best parenting team I could every dream up in my mind!

She brought my Dadums and I a million times closer. She helped me through some of the toughest times, and laughed with me through the most amazing times. Please know that we miss her every day and love her more than anyone could ever imagine.

I’ve been spending a lot of time with my family just being close to the people who need me and who I need the most.

How have I been doing?

That’s easy: Not Well!

My Senior School Headmistress has an amazing view about sickness: “Well, if she can get her shoes on, she is well enough to come to school”. This really stuck with me. I have carried this with me all the way through my entire life and it is something that keeps my work ethic strong.

Despite all of this: I was signed off from the 9-5 with “Personal Stress”. This basically means that I could not do my 9-5 because of everything that has been happening. This was for 4 weeks…….in the last 10 years I have not had more than 2 days off for sickness….so to have this on my record just kills me…..but to be fair…..I was as much use being away from the 9-5 than I would have been there.

Everyone has been amazing, so I can’t complain. The transition back to “normal” has been made so much easier having these wonderfully supportive people around me xXx

Let’s get to the main point of the little open letter to you all:

I’m back!! I will be churning out posts to you lovelies as regularly….in theory!

Please subscribe for some very lovely (if I do say so myself) Wedding content over the next few weeks.

Sending you all love and hugs xXx

I’ve missed you all!

Have a great weekend!
